As a COVID safe wedding alternative, Micklefield Hall teamed up with Extreme Production Group to deliver a super fun and exciting drive in wedding, for the gorgeous couple Hannah and Nick, back in December 2020.
Whilst it was a drizzly and grey December day, this only enhanced and emphasized the bright colours on the huge drive in wedding screen that was erected in the Micklefield car park. The 80 drive in guests had the perfect digital view of Hannah and Nick exchanging vows. Another seamless production from the event group and expert conducting from Jango toast master. The ceremony was made as special as possible for the guests in their cars and there was a tangible air of excitement and anticipation as the cars pulled up to their spaces in front of the screen.
The Bride and Groom were married in the Garden Room, that had been beautifully dressed with flowers and candles from Andrew Fleming (the florist ) and striking up lights that shone pink into the apex of the room.
Viva Creations had installed a huge arch adorned with heavy foliage and flowers that acted as a stunning back drop for Hannah and Nick to get married in front of.
Despite the chilly weather, Hannah wore a stunning, open backed dress and kept herself warm with a matching, white fur shawl. Nick looked very smart in his olive green suit that complimented Hannah’s gorgeous bouquet from Andrew Fleming.
Fairy lights spiralled up the trees in the courtyard and round the French fountain that trickled water. Red balloons fluttered and the giant flames inside the large patio heaters flickered in winter wind. The ripe red cherries on the trees complimented the wedding’s colour scheme perfectly. The open fire in the Garden Room was lit and the space felt intimate, romantic and cosy despite being an outdoor space.
After the ceremony, the Bride and Groom waved to their drive in guests from the dressed Kubota farm vehicle driven by Anna Rankin (the owner of Micklefield Hall). Car horns hooted and muted cheers could be heard from behind closed car windows.
Despite the trauma and turmoil of the ever changing restrictions to weddings in the lead up to Hannah and Nick’s big day, it really was a truly magical and unforgettable day for all.
