At Micklefield Hall, we have the privilege of hosting many beautiful celebrations and Ritu and Achit’s stunning wedding was another one to remember.
As the sun rose over the Hertfordshire countryside, the energy on the grounds was electric. Achit’s grand entrance was truly one to remember. He made his way, alongside his family and friends, down the driveway toward the Great Barn. A lively baraat filled with music, dancing, and laughter. The sound of celebration echoed across the estate as he made his way to meet his bride, following the cherished traditions of an Indian groom’s arrival.
One of the most memorable parts of the day was the Mandap ceremony, beautifully set inside our 16th-century Great Barn. The contrast between the barn’s historic oak beams and the vibrant florals and fabrics of the Mandap created a truly magical setting. Warm light streamed through the windows as Ritu and Achit exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends. The Mandap was created by Wed In Style.
No Indian wedding is complete without an incredible feast, and Ritu and Achit’s celebration was no exception. Guests enjoyed a mouth-watering array of traditional dishes by Ragasaan. From fragrant curries to sweet treats, all bursting with authentic flavours and colours.
Talented photographer Sarah Legge, captured the couple as they enjoyed a quiet moment to explore the grounds. The gardens provided a stunning backdrop for their couple portraits as they avoided the April showers.
Ritu and Achit’s wedding was a heartfelt celebration of tradition, family, and love. It was an honour for us to be part of it. Indian weddings bring such warmth, colour, and joy to our venue, and this one was no exception.
From the lively baraat to the serene mandap ceremony and the stunning portraits in our gardens, their day perfectly showcased how Micklefield Hall can be both a traditional and uniquely personal setting for an Indian wedding.
We wish Ritu and Achit a lifetime of happiness, and we’ll cherish the memories of their wonderful celebration here at Micklefield Hall.
