This listed barn, with its original beams dating back to 1490, has a very impressive structure. Before the advent of modern farming, it was used as a threshing barn where sheaves of wheat were stored and threshed during the winter months.
The award winning restoration was completed in 2014, where it has since been used for special events and weddings.
Interesting quirky features include a cloistered walkway, garden room with an open log fire and a French fountain. These are what make The Great Barn at Micklefield a genuinely unique venue.
