Welcome to Micklefield Hall. We are an exclusive, country wedding venue in Hertfordshire which is fully licensed for both civil and religious wedding ceremonies.

Our venue capacity is 200 and whether it is an outdoor or inside wedding you were dreaming of, we have plenty of ceremony options for you to choose from. These include, The Great Barn, The Temple, The Lawns, The Rose Garden, The Orangery and for smaller weddings, The Garden Room & Fireplace.

Our incredible, award winning 16th Century Tithe Barn is the perfect space for you and your guests to enjoy a delicious wedding breakfast, provided by one of our approved and listed caterers.

Not only do you get to enjoy the Great Barn, you have total use of the gardens, Orangery, Bridal Suite, Groom’s Room, and Temple. Endless beauty spots for your guests to wonder to and your photographer to capture your ‘newly wedded bliss’.

The Micklefield Hall Estate is set on a 350-acre private farm, promising total exclusivity and intimacy. The Rankin’s have been hosting weddings on the family estate since May 1999 and have not looked back since.

We have a dedicated team of Event Managers who will work closely with you from the moment you step into Micklefield Hall, through to your very special day. They will ensure exceptional service, seamless delivery and the best day of your life!

Micklefield Hall has a diverse variety of spaces, all included in your venue fee. All with unique features, each space is expertly designed to provide elegant and intimate spaces. Your wedding event manager will help you to tailor your special day, with wet weather contingencies and recommendations for first class suppliers.  Micklefield Hall provides everything you need to create an extraordinary wedding.

Wedding Catering

Micklefield Hall has teamed up with Kalm Kitchen as our exclusive catering partners. As well as developing a selected Micklefield Hall menu, Kalm Kitchen also provide tailor-made menus. Encompassing some of the most creative and exciting ideas to suit any occasion, Kalm really are expert wedding caterers. On the other hand, if it is Kosher or Asian cuisine you are looking for, Micklefield have a selection of approved caterers from which you can choose.

We have six bedrooms and one brand new Shepherds Hut at Micklefield Hall, which are exclusively yours for the night of your wedding. The rooms, beautifully designed in the old cow barn, opposite the Great Barn, are named after Anna & Jamie’s children, their daughter-in-law and Jamie’s dog, Oly. Each room was individually decorated by their namesake (though Oly had a little help from Jamie!).
