As usual, a fabulous evening in The Great Barn at Micklefield Hall, where our Brides & Grooms for 2022 tasted the new menu from Kalm Kitchen.
The night started in style with the lovely Sam from Edmunds cocktails serving his and hers, Pornstar and Espresso martinis from our new cocktail bar. Live music was provided by the classic Bow Fiddle Strings.
Canapes circulated amongst guests included beef sirloin, devilled chicken buns, sticky pork skewers, smoked salmon and cream cheese, tempura violo artichoke, Cashel blue cheese, moussaka and fish and chips.
Guests then moved through to the Great Barn, where they were met with the stunning floral show provided by Andrew Fleming. Succulents, ferns and potted plants sat high on pedestals ran the length of the banqueting table. Table name cards were beautifully drawn by Lou Paper, Kalm Kitchen provided the table linens, crockery, green glasses and gold cutlery.
Starters served included an edible garden sharing platter, crispy poached hen’s egg, tomato tartare, and a smoked chicken with mango.
Main courses swiftly followed including pan fried fillet of hake, herb roasted chicken breast, roasted fillet of beef, and a vegan butternut squash arrancini with vegan feta.
Deserts included a slice at the table salted caramel chocolate tart and the infamous Kalm Kitchen patisserie bar. A stunning display of three mini deserts accompanied by chocolate lollipops and strawberry bonbons.
