Are you thinking of having your Summer wedding at Micklefield Hall? Our well manicured gardens are in full bloom, the sun is high in the sky and our temple area is ready to host your civil ceremony.
In May 2023, Sam and Kath had their civil wedding at Micklefield Hall. Blessed with glorious weather from start to finish, allowing them to have their dream wedding.
A huge thank you to Sarah Legge for these amazing pictures!
The wedding ceremony
The weather allowed for the most magical ceremony at our temple. A spectaclar 450 year old Oak Tree covers the Micklefield Hall Temple area.
Joined by her Father, Kath, walked down our herbaceous border towards her now husband and 120 guests. The smile on Kath’s face says it all – what a moment. They were sung down the aisle by one of our favourite guitar and singer duos The Collective.
The temple was beautifully decorated by family friend Jacqui, who created a magical broken arch to frame the couple as they said their vows.
Fact! The Micklefield Hall temple was built in 1920s as a birthday gift from Mr Clutterbuck to his wife.
The ‘confetti moment’
At Micklefield Hall we LOVE a confetti shot! Showered in a multi coloured flurry of biodegradable paper confetti, Sam and Kath celebrated their marriage, creating the perfect picture opportunity.
Paper confetti (biodegradeable), dried petals and fresh petals all make for beautiful pictures straight after your ceremony, as you walk back up the herbaceous border to your awaiting drinks and canapes.
Did you know, biodegradable paper confetti falls much better than petals, creating that picture perfect moment. Secondly, buy more than you think you will need. The pictures always look much better when your guests have grabbed a large handful rather than a small pinch.
Getting the perfect couple shots
A photographer’s dream… Sam and Kath were full of smiles all day as they greeted their guests and enjoyed their drinks reception and party.
During their drinks reception, the newly married couple went and enjoyed some private couple pictures with Sarah. These pictures show some of the many reasons that we love Sarah and her work here at Micklefield. Finding all of the venue’s hidden gems and creating those precious keep sakes for our amazing couples.
Welcome to the wedding party
Sam and Kath started their party from the moment they entered into their Wedding Breakfast. They chose to enter to ‘Freed from Desire’, which got everyone up, dancing and waving their napkins in the air.
Finally, to end this incredible day, The Collective then sang throughout the evening, filling the dance floor for the whole night.
