Popular wedding trends in 2024

It has been another incredible year here at Micklefield Hall, we have proudly hosted so many beautiful weddings with gorgeous couples. During the year, we have seen lots of different ideas and themes pop up multiple times, things becoming trendy and popular. This includes flower styles, bridal party colours and dining styles. Here are some of our favourite wedding trends of 2024.

Bright flowers

We have LOVED seeing so many BEAUTIFUL, bright floral arrangements this year. Adding in that hint of colour just elevates the photographs and can be essential in coordinating your bridal party’s outfits.

Black and white photography

Black and white photography has made its comeback, alongside traditional film style photography and we ADORE it. Whilst the true colour photographs are just devine, showing off the lighting, flowers and bridal party colours, something about black and white photographs is just so classy and elegant.

Cabaret Style Dining

Our Great Barn can seat up to 200 guests in ‘Cabaret’ style dining and up to 130 in ‘Banquet’ (Salt Burn Style!) dining. The Cabaret style has been very popular this year, with all of our couples apart from 1 (!) having this style. The feedback being that they LOVE the sociable feel of the round tables.

Mismatching Bridesmaid Dresses

We have seen many of our couples step away from different traditions during their wedding days including introducing mismatched dresses for the bridal party. The idea that each bridesmaid feels their absolute best alongside their special bride is so special.
