In September 2025, Charles and Alina got married at our temple in front of their family and friends. The day was beautiful from start to finish. The bridal suite had the most relaxed vibes with Alina and her two bridesmaids. The groomsmen ensured everything was in place during the morning preparations around the venue.
The weather forecast was proving a challenge on this da. The sun was shining but all of the apps were showing threats of rain during the ceremony time. The Micklefield Hall team laid both inside and outside ceremony scenarios, keeping everything crossed for the couple’s dream outside wedding.
As the time crept on and the dark clouds loomed, the brave decision was made to have the ceremony outside and hope for the best! Boy oh boy did that pay off. The ceremony was just perfect. The sun shone right up until the final confetti piece was thrown before the guests headed for cover in our Orangery for the drinks reception.

The Preparations
The morning started, as always, bright and early for the girls. Every time event manager Izzy went up to check on the bridal party, there were giggles and smiles and the more than occasional glass of prosecco!
The groom’s party arrived mid-morning. Charles showed them around the venue so they could get to grips with their roles for the day. They then ventured up to the groom’s room to start their getting ready preparations.
Once everyone was ready, we headed to the temple to start the ceremony.
The Ceremony
The couple opted for a celebrant led ceremony, carried out by our recommended celebrant Bernadette French. This meant they were able to ensure their ceremony truly felt like their own, without the formalities of a registrar led ceremony.
The temple was dressed beautifully by Andrew Fleming Florist, with greenery and white dropping wisteria and roses. This perfectly complimented Alina’s bright bouquet of powder pinks and peaches.
As mentioned before, the weather put its plans on pause so that the couple were able to fully enjoy their dream outside ceremony.
Alina followed her bridesmaids down the herbaceous border and was escorted by her doting father, towards her eagerly waiting groom.
The ceremony was perfect, captured perfectly by both photographer Lily Lane and content creator Amber (Sociallywithit).
Once the ceremony was complete, the guests were escorted to the herbaceous border to do a traditional confetti throw as the couple walked to the Orangery for their drinks reception.
Our partner caterers Kalm Kitchen provided delicious canapes and refreshing beverages whilst the guests enjoyed chatting and the couple were whisked away for some intimate couple shots with Lily and Amber.
Couple Pictures
The couple thrived in front of the camera which was just brilliant to see. You can see the love and excitement beaming off of both Charles and Alina as they walk around the venue as Lily and Amber snap away.
The photographs continued into the evening as they enjoyed the evening light. They opted for a little bit of fun for their evening photos, doing a champagne spray which always provides the BEST photos.
The Evening Reception
Charles and Alina brought the beautiful florals from her bouquet into the barn, which alternate centerpieces, some high some low, which always looks so elegant. Each table named after a notable place in their relationship which made the set up feel all the more personal.
Now a moment for the cake… or should I say CAKES. When these cakes were delivered, the Micklefield Hall team were in absolute awe. They just looked incredible and the flavours (traditional cultural flavours as a nod to the couple’s heritage) were amazing. The cakes were by the team at Prestige Patisserie.
The dancefloor was full for the entirety of the evening, with guests kept boogying with Cosmic Events DJ, who also provided the beautiful fairy lights in the barn.
