Welcome to Micklefield Hall
June was when the Summer season here at Micklefield Hall truly kicked off. We have been blessed with an incredible, warm start to the Summer, which we hope will continue as we get further into the season.
Beautiful barn ceremony
Fiona and Paul chose Saturday 7th June as their wedding day, in previous years this weekend being one of the hottest however, this year, Mother Nature had other plans. With rain forecast for the majority of the weekend, temperatures fluctuating and general nerves around the wedding day increasing!
Luckily, Fiona and Paul had fallen in love with the idea of having their ceremony in the Great Barn here at Micklefield Hall. Their dreams of the 16th Century Great Barn being the backdrop to their vows came true, as their guests watched them exchange promises and start their journey into married life together.
Drinks and food, what more could you want?
Once their guests had showered them in colourful confetti pieces, they headed for their drinks reception.
The rain did unfortunately put a dampener on their plans for a drinks reception on the Great Lawns, however it did mean they got to enjoy the brand new Orangery. Their guests enjoyed Aperols and Quercus, whilst feasting on delicious canapes by Kalm Kitchen. Andrew Fleming had dressed the space beautifully, with carefully chosen bud vases and arrangements scattered around the room.
Despite the intermittent showers, Fiona and Paul were able to get some beautiful photographs around the grounds, including their family and group shots.
Golden hour at Micklefield Hall
Into the evening, their guests enjoyed more delicious food by Kalm Kitchen and boogied away to the talented Cosmic Events. It was an incredible day, the weather wasn’t able to dampen their spirits, the couple had smiles on their faces all day.
