Autumn is one of our favourite seasons for weddings. The light, the colour, the crisp weather. When Olivia and Jack booked their wedding here at Micklefield Hall, they were hoping for just that. The perfect Autumn wedding day.
The couple had their ceremony in a local church in Rickmansworth, both getting ready off site. So by the time they and their guests arrived, we were eagerly awaiting their arrival as newlyweds. Beautiful big red buses and a traditional, Ivory Bentley arrived, as everyone rushed into the Orangery for the drinks reception.

Once everyone was on site, the party began. With drinks in the Orangery, followed by a delicious dinner by Kalm Kitchen. The tables were dressed to perfection with pale blue and white flowers by Andrew Fleming. The cake was kindly gifted by a friend and the fairy lights were provided by Cosmic Events, they just truly pulled the whole barn together.
We had the fire burning and fairy lights twinkling. Photographer Isobel Murphy captured Micklefield Hall in all its glory on this perfect day, from start to finish.
The Couple
Olivia and Jack were not only totally gorgeous on the outside but also totally gorgeous inside too. They effortlessly settled in front of the camera as they took a walk around the grounds during golden hour.

The Party
Usually, the evening reception is one that is hard to capture. Everyone has had a little bit too much to drink by then, things are getting a little bit messy and tradition tends to have been thrown out the window as everyone lets their hair down. However, the beauty of Olivia and Jack’s day just continued into the evening celebrations.
The dancefloor was full the entire night, thanks to The Gatsby Band, and the energy was at an all time high.

The couple were so grateful after their wedding, singing the praises of the staff, venue and everything about their day.
“From the moment we saw it and met the lovely staff we knew it was perfect for us. The location was fantastic for our friends travelling from afar and into London. The venue was really impressive from the grounds to the barn without being overly formal and had so much charm and character. We loved how it was family run and how attentive everyone was, made us feel so relaxed from start to finish and was such an added bonus to booking the venue.”
