In July we welcomed Tara and Mike, along with their family and friends, to celebrate their marriage together. The day was just picture perfect (captured perfectly by recommended and LOVED photographer Sarah Legge) as the July sunshine flooded Micklefield Hall from start to finish.
Micklefield Hall shone in all its’ glory, all day, with the gardens in full bloom (thanks to our talented gardening team) and a golden hour of dreams.
The preparations for the day started nice and early, with the bridal party arriving promptly at 8am ready for glam. They made themselves at home in our beautiful bridal suite, which offers the perfect space for hair, makeup and a relaxed morning of breakfast and fizz.
The groomsmen arrived slightly later and ventured up to the groom’s room, where they stylishly added the details to their outfits, including their bowties and button hole flowers. They then enjoyed a walk around the grounds, where Mike ensured all the groomsmen knew their roles, before the guests started to arrive.
Once guests arrived, they were ushered down to the temple for the ceremony. The temple created the perfect, romantic setting for this special civil ceremony. The water trickled, the birds sang and the sun continued to shine down.
Tara was escorted by her doting father, as she made her way down the herbaceous border towards Mike, who stood emotionally in the temple with his Best Man.
Once the ceremony was complete (and many tears were shed), it was time for the fun to start. The guests lined the aisle, eagerly waiting to shower the newlyweds with confetti. All before heading to the lawns for drinks and canapes by our partner caterers Kalm Kitchen.
Tara and Mike took to the confetti walk like champs with the pictures coming out perfectly.
During the drinks reception, photographer Sarah took Tara and Mike for some more intimate photographs around the venue. Micklefield Hall offers so many beautiful options for photos, it is often hard for photographers to choose. We know we are biased but no choice is a bad choice!.
The couple opted for a non traditional seating chart, where they hired our shot wall and used mini bottles of limoncello with personalized labels to let their guests know where they will be seated.
Another fun addition to their drinks reception was being joined by Sketched by Sienna and the team who created fun, personalized artwork for their guests!
Then it was into the barn we headed, for the dinner and evening reception. Tables laid perfectly by Kalm Kitchen, flowers dressing the tables beautifully by Fable Flowers and fun additions to the space like the MR & MRS lighting by Fill the Floor Discos.
The guests enjoyed a delicious three-course dinner by Kalm Kitchen before dancing the night away on the dance floor to Chris Benn DJ.
Finally as the sun began to set, we were blessed with the most beautiful golden sunset which Mike and Tara enjoyed whilst dancing on the lawns.
This amazing day was certainly one to remember. We worked with some amazing suppliers who are all listed below. A huge thank you to them for helping make this day so perfect.
