Food for evening guests at your wedding

When it comes to providing food for your evening guests at your wedding, after they have been dancing the night away on the Great Barn’s dance floor, there are some really creative and fun companies offering meals on wheels!  Woody’s Fired Pizza owners, Laura and Amanda, took the plunge and converted a horse box called ‘Woody’ into a giant pizza oven on wheels.

Woody, Amanda and Laura have catered for evening guests at Micklefield Hall since their launch, and their converted horse box looks brilliant as it pulls up next to the cloistered walkway, ready to serve hungry guests with sizzling hot pizzas!

“We set up Woody’s Fired Pizza up last year having retired from the education recruitment business, a few years previous. I wanted to share my passion for fresh, artisan, homemade pizzas and so I started catering for friends at parties and local events and the feedback we were getting was fabulous.  So, we invested in Woody – our wonderful horsebox which we have converted into a Mobile Rustic Pizza Truck.

Pizza is such an amazing option for evening food for your wedding guests as it is fresh, tastes amazing and is different from the usual BBQ food.  The pizzas are cooked in our wood fired oven, which is in the horsebox, in less than two minutes – which means there can be plenty of freshly made pizza to feed a large number of guests.

Our pizza dough is homemade, and the thin based pizzas are around 10″ in size.  The menu is totally flexible and can be tailored to the client’s tastes.  We make a selection of their chosen pizzas and salads for the evening guests to enjoy at their leisure.  We can finish with a chocolate and marshmallow calzone pizza for dessert!  Delicious.

We chose to offer an evening Pizza menu for weddings at Micklefield Hall because we have very fond memories of our own wedding there, back in 2008. The location and service offered by Micklefield Hall, is in our opinion, excellent and we aim to match this service and believe our food compliments this setting.”
