Micklefield Hall Rose Garden

The Micklefield Hall Rose Garden

Micklefield Hall is known and remembered for many reasons, the gardens are one of the main things. We have a full time team gardeners and grounds keepers who proudly maintain the ever growing gardens.

Our rose garden has been a couple’s favourite ever since it was first introduced more than 30 years ago. Originally a beautiful timber frame which was embraced by arches of pink, white and red roses (and the odd light blue one!). The pathway was abstract, creating some of the most perfectly imperfect pictures of our couples during the last 30 years.

In late 2023, the gardening and grounds team had no choice but to remove the original timber framed rose garden, due to it becoming significantly rotten over time.

We had to ensure there was no safety risk to our couples, their guests or the Micklefield Hall Team. The work took place over the winter months, with the wind and the rain showing up most days!

The team erected a stunning black iron frame, installed bright white paving and planted brand new roses and lavender plants. In the last year, we have been shocked at how quickly this new rose garden has blossomed (the tallest rose is higher than 10ft and reaches to the very top of the dome center). It has now turned into a favourite photo spot for many of our photographers and couples.

We also hope to see many of our future couples having their ceremonies here. There is ample space surrounding the structure for seating and the choice of not one, but two beautiful aisle entrances!

We are so excited to see how far they grow in the springtime ready for our 2025 weddings!
